Founded in 2014 by journalist Duncan Greive, The Spinoff has grown to become Aotearoa’s most innovative independent media group with a focus on vibrant, modern coverage of current affairs and pop culture.
Today, The Spinoff is led by CEO Amber Easby and editor Veronica Schmidt, and employs 30 people with offices in Auckland and staff in Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin.
